Theater writing for City Pages

Theater writing for City Pages

Since February 2016 I’ve written about theater for City Pages — the Twin Cities’ alt weekly. I write at least two pieces each week, both of which appear online and one of which appears in City Pages’ print edition. Find my coverage in the City Pages arts section. I’m happy to have this opportunity to continue my work in Twin Cities theater coverage, which began in September 2007 when I walked into the basement of a casket-factory-turned-art-space to review Skewed Visions’ Strange Love for the Twin Cities Daily Planet — where I subsequently became arts editor and wrote about theater (among many other things) until I left that position six years later.

My writing on theater has also appeared in local publications including Twin Cities METRO (R.I.P.), Vita.mn (this is starting to look like a trend), Mpls.St.Paul (whew), and Delta Sky Magazine (double whew). From 2013 through early 2016, most of my theater coverage appeared in The Tangential.
