I'm a writer and editor living in Minneapolis. My day job is as a digital producer at Minnesota Public Radio, where I edit and write stories for the websites of The Current and YourClassical. I'm also a co-founder of The Tangential. I contribute as a freelance writer to Artforum.com and other publications. My books include The Summer of 40 (2015), Bright Lights, Twin Cities (co-edited with Becky Lang, Colleen Powers, and Katie Sisneros; Thought Catalog, 2014), Future Cities (co-edited with Becky Lang; Bascom Hill, 2013), Sociology for Dummies (Wiley, 2010), and Reconstructing the University (co-authored with David John Frank; Stanford University Press, 2006). I'm on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, and Snapchat—where you can probably figure out how to find me.
