I'm a writer and editor living in Minneapolis. I'm a digital producer at Minnesota Public Radio, where I edit and write stories for the websites of the Current and Classical MPR. I'm also a co-founder of The Tangential, and from 2007 to 2013 I was arts editor at the Twin Cities Daily Planet. I contribute as a freelance writer to Artforum.com and other publications. My books include Bright Lights, Twin Cities (co-edited with Becky Lang, Colleen Powers, and Katie Sisneros; Thought Catalog, 2014), Future Cities (co-edited with Becky Lang; Bascom Hill, 2013), Sociology for Dummies (Wiley, 2010), and Reconstructing the University (co-authored with David John Frank; Stanford University Press, 2006).
